Household garbage - waste that is produced in your home during everyday living.

As of September 1, 2005, bag limits are 2 bags/household/week.

Waste other than household garbage must be brought to the Mattawa Landfill Site.

January 1, 2005, garbage bags must be see-through.

Please secure your household garbage in a see-through garbage bag inside a receptacle to deter animals.  Place garbage at your curbside by 7:00 a.m. on garbage day.

Pick up of garbage is:  Bi-weekly from November 1 to April 30

                                    Weekly from May 1 to October 31

Do not put your household hazardous waste in your garbage.  Chemicals, paints, motor oil, all batteries, etc. can be brought to the Household Hazardous Depot in North Bay, call 474-0400 ext 333 for details.  There is not cost to residents for this service.
